Bill Mackenzie, Managing Director
Bill brings executive management experience in finance, operation
s and marketing with particular expertise in managing mature and emerging companies operating in rapidly changing environments. Bill has been a CRO in a publicly held telecom rollup; CRO for a telecom “overbuilder” with invested capital exceeding $400 million, overseeing a successful a Chapter 11 “363 sale” of the assets of the company, and managing the subsequent windown of the firm. He also served as interim CFO of a DSL/Broadband company with capitalization exceeding $125 million. In addition, he has managed, on a day-to-day basis, a pharmaceutical distribution company and its subsequent sale; directed the financial, operational and marketing restructuring of a major metropolitan residential homebuilder; a CEO of an emerging healthcare software company leading to the growth and eventual sale of the company; and has successfully run numerous other companies in manufacturing, semiconductor, distribution, retail and service sectors.
In addition to serving subsequent to Court appointment in managing the reorganization and revitalization of businesses in Chapter 11 bankruptcy, Bill led the problem lending divisions of a major regional commercial bank, where he served as a voting member on the two senior loan committees. Additionally, Bill has extensive experience in consumer products, having served as a marketing executive with Bristol Myers, Sara Lee Corporation and the Quaker Oats Company.
Bill Mackenzie earned his MBA at the Wharton School and a BS in Economics at the University of Pennsylvania.

Randy Lewis, Managing Director
Randy Lewis is an experienced executive with a successful track record across a wide scope of industries. He has an extensive background in business management and legal issues, particularly in financially or operationally difficult situations. Randy has created and implemented business strategies, including planning and managing acquisition and divestiture strategies for both companies and investors. He also has extensive experience in developing and managing successful strategies in contested environments, and serves regularly as a court-appointed receiver and liquidating trustee.
Randy has managed several large real estate developments, has been the CEO of a leading consulting firm to companies specializing in professional services. He has also been the CSO of a web-based communication company.
In addition, he is an adjunct professor at the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. He is a Fellow of the Redwood Think Tank (an invitation-only management forum assembled to study and formulates solutions to significant professional service firm management issues) and a Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management. He is a regular contributor to the professional education programs of the Turnaround Management Association.
Randy has his degree in Economics from The Colorado College and his law degree from the University of Denver.

Richard Schick
Mr. Schick's career has included lead roles in the construction, retail, manufacturing, trade show, and sports optics industries where he managed turnaround situations, lead strategic planning efforts, and drove organizational and operational excellence.
Over the last eight years Mr. Schick has split his time between turnaround work and serving as President of a prominent construction supply firm with revenue of $65 million and 215 employees at its peak. Mr. Schick joined Cloyses Partners LLC. In 2009 and is leading turnaround efforts within the building materials business segment.
Mr. Schick’s turnaround successes include:
- Returning a $50M construction supply firm to profitability and cash flowing status, leading to a successful refinancing of debt.
- Restructuring a high profile furniture retailer by closing a market, liquidating assets and positioning the company for a successful sale.
- Shedding business segments of a metal service center to allow the ESOP to continue successfully on a smaller scale; and
- Reconfiguring the operations and administration of a security firm to return the company to compliance with lender requirements.
At Bausch and Lomb’s Ray-Ban Sunglass Division, where Mr. Schick spent the half of his career, he served as a trouble-shooter within manufacturing, quality and sales at a senior executive level. Mr. Schick’s accomplishments include:
- Leading complete manufacturing reengineering efforts, resulting in 90% lead-time reductions and dramatic improvements in yields;
- Leading comprehensive cost reduction, reengineering and process improvement efforts;
- Developing and executing product and distribution turnaround strategy for niche markets; and,
- Strategically refocusing sales organizations, resulting in customer-focused, disciplined sales processes and improved business results.
Mr. Schick is a member of the Denver Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York and has completed graduate study at the University of Rochester, Columbia University and Cornell University. and served as guest lecturer on Total Quality Management (TQM) at the University of Rochester and the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is APICS certified in MRP and JIT. Mr. Schick also serves as Board President for Health S.E.T., a non-profit agency supporting the elderly and disadvantaged in the Denver metropolitan area.
